Formerly David Knott Mower Repairs, Emmerson Engineers, managed by Treeve Taylor, offer a range of services & repairs on most makes & types of garden & lawn and tools & equipment from sharpening Secateurs to servicing a John Deere tractor unit (as well as pumps & generators).
We can work on your machine at your premises or at our well equipped (cylinder & plate grinding, fabrication & welding available) workshop in Thurston near Bury St Edmunds.

If it is agreeable to the customer we prefer to service & repair (where practicable) ride on Mowers & large items of garden & grounds equipment on site.
To facilitate this we need access to water & electricity - & an area the customer is happy for debris from the cleaning to done in (we clean up after as best as possible).
Prior to booking the job in Treeve will visit & look at the machine to check what parts & works are needed.
Once parts etc needed are delivered Treeve will call to arrange a convenient day & time for him to come to you & do the works required.
Your requirements & time to complete works will be discussed & can, usually, be tailored to your needs/convenience.

Due to the scope of works available & the various requirements of our customers & their equipment we cannot publish a comprehensive price list but as a guide please see the following:
Full walk behind mower service (includes blade clean, sharpen, balance) start at- £65 plus parts
Collection & return starts at £15 (if it will all fit in the van only 1 charge!)
Sharpening hand tools (strip, clean, sharpen, rebuild & set) start at £10 (discount for multiple items)
Ride on mower prices start at £165 - plus parts but includes blade clean, sharpen, balance.
Rotorvator full service starts at £150 plus parts
